The shootout began with a shot from goaltender Mikael Granlund that deflected off the back of the net and out of the air.

After the goal, McDavid got the puck from forward Brad Malone, who was able to sneak the puck through the Wild net for his first career goal.

McDavid was credited with a goal by defenseman Zach Redmond after scoring a power play goal with 19.9 seconds left.

After McDavid’s goal, defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk got the assist on Malone’s first goal.

He made a nice pass to Brandon Dubinsky, who passed the puck to Malone on the right wing.

McDavid was able, though, to get to the puck with ease and beat Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk with a backhand pass to the backhand post.

The goal was McDonaugh’s fourth of the postseason and second of his career.
